Bill Ackman says Sliwa is helping Dem Socicist Mamdani win NYC Mayor Race

Billionaire Investor Bill Ackman is raising his comments in his New York City Maiwa race, which Republican Curtis Slik Sliwa and Democratic Socialist ZOHRAN Mamdani have a 90% chance of winning, according to market forecast data.

Ackman, the founder of Perhing Square Capital, said that Sliwa is staying in the competition and helping Mamdani secure victory.

On Friday, Ackman posted new pollymarket odds on X showing Mamdani close to 90%, ahead of former gov Andrew and Cuomo and Sliwa.

“It was not ZOHRAN MAMDANI’s performance. It was Surtis Sliwa’s statement after the controversy that he did not leave that revealed the odds to be 90% for Mamdani,” wrote Ackman X.

Sliwa said he will not give up after the most recent controversy.

Ackman’s comments mark a public outcry by a high-profile investor in local elections. A Serhing Square spokesperson told FOX News Digital there was “no further comment beyond Ackman’s post.”

Sliwa does not give up. His campaign, in an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital, rejected the idea that Ackman or any donor should influence the race.

“Billions of speeches will not decide the outcome – it’s the voters. It’s the people. Let the people decide,” said Maria Sliwa, spokeswoman for the elections.

“Cuomo has lost the will of the democrats. He is running as an independent. Curtis is on the main line of the party like Mamdani. If anything, Cuomo should resign, not Curtis.”

He said Sliwa had been planning to stay in the race to give Republicans a choice.

“This race will not be decided by millionaires, billionaires or professional politicians. It will be decided by the voters on November 4.”

Sliwa’s refusal to come out has become a theme in the campaign. Ackman and others say a one-way tie between Cuomo and Mamdani would have been too competitive.

Some polls show Cuomo can close the gap without sliwa in the race. But Sliwa’s party and several analysts question whether his voters will support cucoomo.

Appearing on Friday morning in “Sid & friends in the morning” on Wabc Radio, Cuome was accused of playing Sliwa by playing Polonger and warned Republicans to stay loyal to Mamdani.

“Curtis can’t win,” Cuomo said. “No republican voted to put curtis on the ballot. No democrat voted to put curtis on the ballot. He was put on party seats – because he’s the boss.”

Cuomo pointed out that GOP leaders are supporting Sliwa for strategic reasons, not to win city hall.

“They will take Mamdani and run across the country and say, ‘Look at what the Democratic party is saying, how they elected a 33-year-old anti-police, anti-anti-semitic community.’ It will help them politically, but it will kill the city,” Cuomo said.

He also added that the voters who support Sliwa are effectively helping Mamdani.

“You’re voting for Curtis, just save yourself some time and vote for Mamdani,” Cuomo said. “He’s a candidate for Republican seats. And which Republican is going to have to decide that partial loyalty is more important than loyalty to the city.”

Cuomo also attacked Mamdani’s public safety policies, warning, “he’s firing the police, he’s closing rikers — he’s talking about releasing 7,000 people from rikers in the closing.”

The 2025 NYC Mayoral race has drawn national attention. Mamdani, 33, is a Socialist state assemblyman from Queens who defeated Cuomo in the Democratic primary. If he was elected, he would be the first Muslim Mayor of the city, and he has the support of the representative. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Dn.Y., and Sen.y.

CUOMO, 65, is running as an independent four years after resigning as governor. He tries to be determined bitterly like an old man who can beat Mamdani. With Mayor Eric Adams down, Cuomo has gained ground in the polls.

SLIWA, 69, is best known for founding the Guardian Angels Patrol group and building his campaign around crime and the military’s quality of life. He won 27% of the vote in the 2021 mayoral race.

Ackman’s involvement sparked renewed interest in the polymarket, a prediction site where users bet on political outcomes.

The contract for the NYC Mayora race has already transferred $ 190 million in trading volume, one of the largest in the American internal elections. Ackman’s post sparked speculation and a surge in trading activity.

Voters head to the Nov. 4.
