Big Brother’s Rachel Reilly Tributes Mickey Lee Posthumously

Big Brother’s Rachel Reilly shared a touching tribute to her late client Mickey Lee.

Posting via X on Thursday, January 1, Rachel, 41, opened up about the impact Mickey had on her life before his tragic death.

“I guess I didn’t even give myself a chance to cry and look back in 2025 and seeing Mickey’s post makes me think about how much he has impacted so many lives!” Reilly wrote. “I was watching her stories and she was an amazing woman – she touched so many lives and her fabric was woven into so many stories – she influenced my journey and I will always love her for it and I will never forget that about her.”

He continued, “I remember telling him one day in HOH that he is a part of my heart now and he will always be there and I meant it 😍🥲 it’s so hard to lose a friend and especially a bright light 💕 2025 wouldn’t have made an impact without the trip I took with big brother and Mickey 💕”

Mickey died early on December 25, 2025 after being hospitalized for multiple cardiac arrests as he battled complications from the flu. He was 35 years old.

“It is with great sadness that Mickey Lee’s family announces his passing on Christmas morning,” his family wrote in a statement released on social media on Friday, December 26.

“Mickey captured the hearts of viewers across the country with his appearance Big Brotherwhere his authenticity, energy and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow actors alike,” the statement continued.” “He will be remembered for the joy he brought to the lives of so many and for the genuine connections he made on and off screen.”

Rachel, who worked with Mickey in the house Big Brother’s Season 27, was among the former cast members of the show who responded publicly after the news was announced.

“Shocked and saddened by the news of my older brother partner and family member – my heart is broken,” Rachel wrote via X on December 26. “My heart goes out to his family and lifelong friends. Big Brother it doesn’t just give you partners, it gives you family. I am forever grateful that I was able to share that house and that experience with Mickey 💕.”

Rachel continued: “We entered the house Big Brother in the house as strangers and came out imprisoned for life. I wish I could thank her for the memories, laughs, and moments we will only ever understand. I’ll go with Mickey every now and then. Rest in peace my friend. 🤍.”

The Season 13 winner also shared a video of himself, Mickey and Ashley Hollis from within Big Brother the house.

On the same day, Big Brother host JChen Moonves he also took to social media to express his condolences after Mickey’s death.

“Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on the show ‘God 101/’ That’s when he revealed to me that he was born with a hole in his heart, since he was old he survived an ATV accident that should have killed him, but God kept him alive,” wrote Julie on Instagram. “Last night God brought him home 🕊️ Rest In Peace dear Mickey. I will see you again on the other side forever.”

During his season, Mickey played 59 days in the theater Big Brother the house. He was the last eviction guest before the jury phase began.
