Daniel Jones’ 2025 NFL NFL season, as the Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback will have to watch from all sides after the achilles week this past week.
For the Colts, the injury is a big loss as the team eyes on the playoffs. For Jones himself, the injury could not have been worse considering he is a free agent in March.
Jones signed a letter-term deal with the Cubs this offseason after a 254-hit campaign that saw the New York MIPS, the team that drafted him sixth in 2019, release him for a sixth season after a long extension. Not only did Jones win the starting role over Anthony Richardson, the Colts’ fourth overall pick in 2023, but he flashed offense coach Stane Steichen.

While Jones will tell you he is completely focused on how he can help the Colts from Sideline, Star Receiver Michael Pittman Jr. He talks about ‘the team bringing back Jones in 2026.
“Absolutely,” Pittman told fox digital news when asked if Jones should get another contract from Indianapolis. “I mean, I’d like to see him here. The work he’s put into his body and the body he’s had, I think they should look at it a lot.
“I’m on board with it and I think most of the players are, if not all.”

Jones was 104 yards shy of his career high in just 13 games, passing for 3,101 on 261 completions (381 attempts). Jones had a career-high 68% completion percentage, while throwing 19 touchdowns and interceptions. He also runs with five foal scores.
That seven-year magazine felt comfortable with his new team, and it helps that running back Jonathan Taylor did as MVP in the backfield, while Pittman Warren, Alec Pierce, Josh Downs all contributed to the Colts.

But Jones’ injury makes things interesting now, as teams apparently want to shell out millions at quarterback for someone healthy. Jones had a history of injuries beyond the achilles, and, since he was already playing with a sprained fibula, that may have contributed to the achilles injury.
With the Giants, Jones tore his ACL in 2023, while dealing with an illness during his time in New York.
But depending on when Jones can return to the wild, maybe his home is in Indianapolis for years to come.
“I feel very fortunate to be here,” Jones told Fox News Digital last month. “This time last year it was a lot different for me and kind of figuring out what’s next and where I’m going to join the Colts and I’m going to see you and learn.”

Pittman and Blue were trying to get the whites nice and clean with the new IO power drill, and although Blue is known for his active stomach during games, he had a big set of teeth to get ahead of the game.
As someone who will never break from his financial routine, he starts by brushing his teeth before anything else in the morning.
