Below Deck Med’a woman Josh Bingham Having a blast time of 10 – and you have an idea of the possible death of spoffs.
by Below Deck Med continues to wind, Josh only spoke US of the Week About getting to work Captain Sandy wawnChief Stew Aesha Scott and her ideas on how to get the most out of the bravo franchise.
How familiar were you with the show before joining?
I didn’t know what to expect within the screening part but I had watched the show before – especially before getting the distribution. I watched the show to see what I was getting. I watched a few seasons with [Chef] Someone [Robinson] And one season with Gary [King]. I know he is a bit controversial but the first couple of seasons he was very funny. But other than that, I didn’t watch much. I had seen the season of Ahaya and Captain Jason. I was aware of the show, definitely.
When you join the show, do you reach out to any of the heads below the desk or do any of them reach out to you to give advice?
No one. I didn’t know anyone and no one gave me advice. People in the yachting industry have a strange feeling about show sometimes. I just heard that there are some judgmental comments coming my way. But I don’t let those things affect me because it’s my life. I can do what I want with it.
Any worries or concerns about the day to day?
One of the best chefs I watched Sailing on a yacht – Marcos [Spaziani]. But he worked hard and did a really good job. But it’s a shame I don’t actually know about them.
I hope this will allow you to meet more.
That would be cool. I think cooking will be good for all of us. A Below on deck competition where we all cook for each other.
How long did it take to get used to the cameras?
I really didn’t know how I was going to feel. I just remember getting on the boat and feeling like I fell into it very quickly. Work just takes over your mind and you know you have to do things. I was a little worried if it was going to kill me.
But I felt like I was fine with it – and I was surprised. Because that extra pressure can really affect things if you’re not comfortable with it. I’m glad I came down with justice, well.
We just saw some heavy tourists get off the boat. Was this the worst experience in your days as a chef?
I definitely found, it’s very similar – if not worse – tourists. It’s all about the situation. In the mix of annoying situations when you work for people – especially high networth people – there are very interesting things that they start doing in their lives. They live their lives, it’s a foreign sight to us and you start to get used to these crazy requests – or just people who are unhappy or really picky.
Were you surprised that they gave this title so high?
I was surprised by that. The main thing is to enjoy the food and I feel like you have such a big heart. It was just a vegan guest that kind of messes it up a bit. It was very nice that they left that number.
Why did you go?
When they were planning it, I was like, ‘I didn’t go on the boat.’ And when I looked back, I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I did.’ When you’re in that 18-hour block, I usually take 10 to 15 minutes on the boat late at night. It was so sudden. At that time, I was smoking, and I got something.
Did you learn anything new while watching the show back then?
So much so, I felt like I knew what was going on inside. But outside, I didn’t know about so many things that were going on. I heard there is a big problem going on. I’ve never heard so many things in a convention that I never expected to hear.
What do you think of the latest outing and new additions to the cast?
It actually really affected me a lot because I didn’t really connect with others [of the people who left]. I didn’t feel any benefit of any kind of bond that would go any further than the actual level negotiations. So there Joe [Bradley] You came, I entered into that contagious energy. He was a good show. I really enjoyed the personality change.
What do you think about the way some people leave this boat – including the wonderful views of Captain Sandy?
I saw that and I was like, ‘you’re acting like a spoiled brat.’ You have this rebellious attitude towards life but eventually when someone tries to give you constructive criticism, if you can take it then you will go far. But if you can’t then you won’t.
I talked to myself about being Captain Sandy as a manager.
Nice and left me to my own devices, which was nice. Because I know in many places of the year He did not do that. A bit difficult in places, I must say. But it was nice just spending six weeks with him in that place and getting to know him and how he works. She is the most inspiring woman in the industry. It was great to be there and feel his energy.
What other franchise show would you want to attend? Is there another captain you want to work for?
Captain Jason is someone I can work with. I have a strong connection to Bali with family there and I have noticed that it is obvious that they often go to Bali. I feel like I’m very much of the same mind in that sense. I think we are off to a good start. So yes, again
Talk to me about working with Aesha Scott.
He is really good. At bat, we both said to each other, ‘Let’s talk to each other respectfully and shout at each other.’ He also enjoyed that and was very appreciative of me and very responsive without coming off as nervous or fearful. We started well with that idea. I feel like it was a good team. You are so enthusiastic.
Can you come back in multiple seasons if asked?
It all depends on the times and things. Life is really busy but I didn’t say no. I think it’s better where I am and what’s going on in my life. We have to get that money. Life is expensive.
