The witches are back to finish what they started.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande reprise their roles as Elphaba and Glinda in ‘Bad: Good,’ last year’s box office hit. “Ugly,” adapted for Broadway musical and based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel by Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory of Gregory of Gregory of Gregory of Gregory of Gregory. In fact, he is a developer, a door in the community of his green skin only to become a powerful wizard by fighting injustice in Oz.

Universal Pictures raised eyebrows when it was announced that it was releasing a musical adaptation in two parts, something that had never been done before. Classic musicals such as “My Facilitation Light,” “The Sound of Music” and “Fiddler on the Roof” were three hours long and ran in three periods but included intermissions.

At that time, the “evil” shown, which had a time of two hours and 40 to run with the music – including the intervention!) And “caused by the time of two hours and two minutes.

If you look at what “bad” did last year at the box office (more than $ 750 Worldwide worldwide), it is clear why the entire area is made up -recommended music in all its importance and made two movies out of it. And that was to hurt the “good.”

The latter made the fun and excitement (and I’d say memorable moments) of the first and kept much of the dark and surprising content of the two. “Ugly,” We see Elphaba and Glinda feuding at Shiz University and competing for the affections of their classmate Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey). Even the villainy of the wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Marrible (Michelle Yooh) is more compelling in the first installment.

“Good,” ELPPABA is a one-woman rebellion against the Wizard’s genius while Glinda is faced with finding out if her loyalty is to her green friend or his kingdom that gave her the life she always dreamed of. In addition, the film tries to close the “bad” plots to the “Wizard of OZ,” which can appear as a surprise, especially if you don’t see the edited version.

The action includes the combined, unforgettable songs: “Dancing” “favorite” “is it a feeling?” not to mention the show “defying gravity.” The Act II tracklist lists in comparison – “No good act” and “well” are the only memes. The absence of icon images in this installment is really noticeable.

With its PG rating, “for good” tries to thread the needle to appeal to kids despite the dark nature of the second act. Also, it’s just a feature to distinguish the first simple verb.

It is worth putting a witch’s hat to the talented Erivo for his work as ELPPABA, but his strongest things are at the beginning of the ‘bad.’ Grande has a lot more going on in “Good” Thanks to Glinda’s ARC for Glinda – showing her impressive range as a character. He gives this movie a spark that needs to be interesting.

Synchronizing music with the big screen is no easy task – thanks to Jon M. CHU he was helpful. Among the “rich rich,” “In the News” and the first “evil”, Chu knows how to find beauty. And despite the pain of the plot of Act II, “because it’s good” still made you look through the costumes and the production designs and the amazing effects.

Stephen Schwartz, the Oscar-winning composer and lyricist who created the ‘bad’ music, wrote two new songs for the film, a subtle acknowledgment that the movie’s list was there.

The decision

“The Bad: Good” is a good but not great comment on last year’s finale. While it’s very well done and its art is worthy of seeing on the big screen, it’s nowhere near as fun as it used to be.

And to those reading this from Hollywood: Please don’t separate the two movie musicals again. The extra money is not worth it.

★★★ – Stream us later

“Bad: The Good” is rated PG for action/violence, some visual material and some serious material. Running time: 2 hours, 18 minutes. In Theaters November 21, 2025.
