El Clasico is the biggest event in world football, the meetings between Barcelona and Real Madrid are the most watched matches in the Spanish football calendar. Clubs meet twice a season in Laliga, but more often than not, with regular clashes in cup competitions and sometimes pre-season preparations.

The next confirmed Clasico match will take place on the weekend of May 9th / 10th 2026 with Barcelona at home. The exact time and date will be announced one month in advance. It will take place on the 35th matchday of the season in Laliga, so it is likely to be an important game in terms of the end of the title race.
The clear expectation is that Barcelona will be played at the Nou Camp at that time. Delays in construction work have forced a return to their revised home, which ends up holding the clasico for the 2022/23 season. However, it should certainly be ready by May 2026, although it will not be fully operational.

Barcelona was the best in the first edition of the El Clasico competition during the 2024/25 season, winning convincingly, with nine goals scored. They then beat Los Blancos in the Copa del Rey Final in extra time, on the way to the competition in Seville in April, before coming from behind to end the title race in May 2055.
Entering the new 2025/26 campaign, Real Madrid had not defeated their opponents since a 3-2 victory at the end of the 2023/4 laliga season. That was the best period of the side from the capital that brought great Spanish and European Silverware.
There were 23 goals in four competitive clasicos last season. The first meeting with Xabi Alonso as the real manager of Madrid produced only three, but there was no shortage of talking points in the meeting that can be seen as the beginning of a new era for Barca – Real Clash.
Kylia Mbappe and Jude Bellingham got the first goals for Los Blancos, who were the dominant force in a full-time, highly contested contest. Red cards were shown to Pedri and Andrit Lunin in the burning area, but the pride thing was returned by Pest, although it is true that Barca was facing injury problems.
