Amy Poehler Explains Why She Won’t Have Martha Stewart On The Podcast

Amy PoehlerThe “Good Hang” podcast attracts a steady stream of A-list celebrity guests — but Martha Stewart it probably won’t be seen soon.

Poehler, 54, joked during a conversation with colleagues Saturday Night Live alum Ana Gasteyer On Tuesday, December 23, the most feared episode is an interview with Stewart, 84, because of age It’s SNL comments mocking Stewart’s mannerisms.

“If we do Martha, what do we do with her lips, and how do we speak?” Poehler asked Gasteyer, who said Stewart “knows exactly how the camera is going to look at him.”

Poehler joked, “A mouth that doesn’t move … we’re going to do Christmas dinner and nothing will move.”

The two’s sweet conversation wasn’t the first “Good Hang” interview to feature Stewart, who hosted. Martha Stewart Living of TV in the late 1990s before The Martha Stewart Show it started in 2005 and ran until 2012.

During the July 15 show, which featured a comedian Cole EscolaPoehler and Escola, 39, talked about his love for Stewart, which drew jokes from the two.

“I want to give to the late Martha Stewart,” Escola said. “That’s my dinner party. Her last bite. I’ll get to say, like, you know I served Martha her last meal.”

Poehler then joked that Stewart’s response would be something like, “Mmm, it’s cold.”
