At a press conference on Tuesday, President Donald Trump made comments about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid that scared many Americans.

Trump said that the Demonstration gave this answer to the federal government funding: “It means death.”
He continued, “There’s nothing about death. Theirs is death because they’re going to lose social security, they’re going to lose Medicare, all those things they’re going to have, and they’re not going to get together, and you’re not going to have any kind of medical insurance.”

In response, Democratic Senator Doug Gordon told Newsweek: “No one has ever ‘won’ a shutdown when Speaker Johnlong was sponsored by Montal.”
And Republican strategist Matt Klink, speaking about the government shutdown, told the outlet, “this fight the GOP is free to have.”
