Ahsoka it is generally well received by star wars fans for many reasons, including the fact that it made a lot of them It’s revolting characters into live action. However, many of these fans were frustrated by the decision to have the Mandalorian Sabine take on the Jedi, something the previous shows had never done.
Recently, It’s revolting Writer and Executive Producer Henry Gilroy expressed his bewilderment at this story of a live-action character, who had a weak story “and made a lot of money.”
He made these statements Rebellion podrewatch podcast where the owners rewatch episodes of Star Wars Wars. In that podcast, Gilroy confirmed that the show’s writers had considered making a Jedi, but held back from doing so because “but it was the last one.”
Gilroy is right on this point: when It’s revolting Enslavement of the fence, the series was made entirely focused on the young Ezra Bridger, the talent force user Kanan Jarrus (who survived the Order Sabine around Ezra’s age, so having him train to become a Jedi would actually support Ezra’s story. As a veteran writer, Gilroy understands why these would be bad members … say, why give two members of your small Ensemble throwing ARC the same for ARC?
The nearby Sabine started to become a jedi in it Star Wars Wars Is that, after some witch in the witch’s mountain (it’s a long story), he became the owner of the black one, Kanan taught him how to use it. However, this is not the case in the text of the story where he once showed the sensitivity of power. Gilroy commented on this while throwing some very important shade that Ahsoka Sabine’s abilities were finally revealed after her long season of power.
“What I love about this story about the purksaber is that you don’t have to be a Jedi to have Jedi intentions,” Gilroy said. “I think that’s really the most important thing, rather than forcing Ezra a hundred meters when he’s never used the force before.” This means, of course, to AhsokThe EMCLICIC moment he uses where he uses the force to help Ezra move Aboard’s ship ends, where he makes sure to guide the Grand Admiral as he makes his way back to returning our beloved favorite far, far away.
Personally, I really enjoyed it Ahsokaand it warmed my cold heart to see Ezra and Sabine reunited on the screen in live brilliance. In addition, the actors working in Eman Esfandi and Natasha Liu Bordizzo deserve full credit for bringing these characters to life and giving them enough Killer Chemistres to end several thousand fanfics. But I can’t help that Henry Gilroy is right, and the attempt to make Sabine a jedi reduces him and Ezra as characters.
It lowers Ezra for the same reason Gilroy mentioned In addition, it lowers sabine because he went from being a really cool Maralorian warrior with his unique backstory and fighting style to being just another Jedi. In this way, one of the coolest letters from It’s revolting He became one of the Zillion Generic Jedi back during the geonosis war.
AhsokaSeason two is right around the corner, and only time will tell if the writers flesh out Sabine’s story more and prevent her from becoming a changed female version of Ezra. Based on season 1, however, It’s revolting Writer and Producer Henry Gilroy was right to call this plot development one that undermined Ezra and Sabine as characters. If current writers continue to bog down favorite sequel characters with this kind of lazy writing, they may find that their audience has become Ezra himself, banished from star wars, and impossible to return to.
