Matthew Lawrence Grown Thick Skin After Cheryl Burke’s Divorce

Matthew Lawrence discusses what it was like to deal with the breakdown of a marriage in public following his split from his ex-wife Cheryl Burke.

The actor, 45, talked about his breakup in an interview with Daily Mail published on Thursday, January 1, when he was asked what it’s like to build a relationship with his new friend Chili (real name Rozonda Thomas), following her public divorce. “Especially if you can’t really control the narrative or if the narrative isn’t true, you just have to say, ‘Well, I’ve got to get on with my life and get on with living the life I want to live. “I knew what I was getting into. I knew what I was getting into financially,” Burke said at the time. “I won’t speak for him. I’m not here to speak badly about him, but I believe there is a gender role.”

He continued: “A man may feel sad if he doesn’t get all the money.”
