Long before being elected as President Donald Trump‘s 2024 Running Mate, JD developed a unique love story with Usha when they were both in law school.
Their relationship, however, took a turn for the worse when the vence family entered the White House on January 30, 2025.
In November 2025, the couple hit the headlines when Utha was spotted without his wedding ring while visiting a military training camp in North Carolina with the First Lady Melanie Trump.
Spokesperson for Usha later issued a statement at People That read, “[She is] A mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives a lot of baths, forgets her rings sometimes. “

In 2010

In an interview with NBC News In 2017, Usha said that she and JD took all their classes together and were friends before dating.
When they were assigned to work briefly together, Usha was very impressed by his diligence.
“I’ve never seen anyone move,” their law school professor, Amy Chuasaid JD in an interview with NBC News. “It was love at first sight.”
2014
In 2014, the couple got married and held Christian and Hindu ceremonies. (JD later converted to Catholicism in 2019.)

“Blessed with our first Christmas this year,” Jd said on Instagram after Mirabel was born. “Everyone please meet Rebel Rose Vance, our first baby girl. Mother and baby are both doing well, and we feel very grateful this Christmas season.”
August 2024
In the midst of the 2024 presidential race, Usha sat down FOX News for his first solo interview.
During the interview, the future second lady was asked about her 2021 speech about the United States being run by “young children’s girls.”
“The truth is jd … Make a quip service to make the point that you want to do that was a big deal,” he said. “What he was really saying is that it can be really difficult to be a parent in this country, and sometimes our policies are designed in a way that makes it very difficult.”
In January 2025
JD and Usha celebrate their new home at the White House with a traditional ceremony.
“Inaugural balls are a beautiful, time-honored tradition of the Office of the President,” Jd wrote about Instagram at that time. “Usha and I were honored to join President Trump in celebrating the beginning of the New Golden Age of America. Now let’s work 🇺🇸.”

In October 2025
Despite living in the White House, both Jd and Usha wanted to give their children a traditional Halloween by dressing up as a family.
“We hope you had a Spooktacular Halloween!” Usha wrote about Instagram with photos from their celebration in Washington, DC
November 2025
Usha sparked divorce rumors after she was spotted without her wedding ring during the November 2025 visit to the Lejee camp. The cattle spokesperson explained that Utha ‘is a mother of three children, who does a lot of dishes, gives a lot of baths, and forgets her crying sometimes. “
This event came weeks behind Erika Kirk She welcomed JD vence during a public speaking event and noted that President OPPICE shares “similarities” with her late husband.
December 2025
The opposition president addressed rumors of a marriage dispute during the 2025 presidential term with NBC News. He insisted the relationship is “as strong as it gets” and said of the rumours, “I think we’re getting a kick out of it.”
“With anything in life, you take the good and the bad,” he also said. “She accepts that there are some sacrifices and there are great things that come with it, too. But our marriage is as strong as it’s ever been, and I think it’s really fun to see how she’s developed and evolved in this new role.”
