MrBeast Media Epire expands beyond YouTube into telecom and finance

Jimmy Donaldson, known on the Internet as mrbeast, is not only the most popular youtuber in the world – he is a successful chocolatier, a television theme producer, and his business empire continues to expand. His company, Beast Industries, is now preparing to push into new sectors, including telecommunications and financial services.
“We also started a phone company-Beast Mobile-and a Financial Services Platform,” announced Jeffrey Housenkonbold, CEO of Beast Industries, during the New York Times’ Dealbook Dingrows yesterday (Decy. 3). Donaldson was hired by the house, a venture capitalist and the former CEO of Shutterfly, last year to manage his various efforts under the holding company of $ 5 billion Holding Company.
Today, Donaldson’s consumer products division generates revenue from its social media content. Beast Industries Now features a fun snack, a lunch kit version, a beef and jack Link’s interaction and a mrbeast lab toy.
And soon it includes Beast Mobile, which is reportedly a phone company pursuing a Virtual Network Network (MNVO) strategy for infrastructure operations from a major carrier. This approach has already been successfully followed by celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, who sold his Mint mobile service to T-Mobile for 2023 billion.
Donaldson’s financial bet is expected to be the same. In October, THEEMENTER filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office that revealed plans for a mobile application that offers banking, cryptocurrency, financial extension services and financial advisory services.
On the media side, Beast Industry still surrounds Donaldson’s reign on YouTube, where the 27-year-old has more than 450 subscribers. He has built a large audience on Instagram and TikTok—though he prefers YouTube so far, describing it as full of “brain rot”—and in 2024 he’s partnered with Amazon to launch a competition show Monster games. The collaboration helped expose the new brand to a new audience, Donaldson said, noting that “the creation of people on broadcast platforms has been around for a long time.”
But the release of Monster games and caused controversy. Several of his opponents filed a lawsuit against him for alleged unsafe conditions, causing Donaldson to reduce the number of participants for the upcoming second season. “I learned why people don’t have 2,000 people competing in the show, because actually creating a situation where 1,999 people are not happy because they won,” he said.
Beyond consumer products and media, Bust Industries is preparing to add a third pillar to its business. The company plans to create a two-sided marketplace that corresponds to creators with Fortune 1000 advertisers, according to the house, who described the broad desire of Bust Industries as a type of entertainment that has a great impact on the world. “
As DonaldDon expands into new industries, he finds the so-called “nuggets” of entrepreneurial inspiration. He keeps posters of Steve’s work in his office and says he looks up to Elon Musk’s ability to ‘push boundaries in many fields at once. “
Still, Donaldson admits that his own approach is different. “There’s not really anybody who’s doing YouTube content at the level we’re doing while also trying to run a chocolate company, while also trying to run a bank and this and that,” he said. “I don’t know if there is one person I would want to be.”
