LA Liga Sign Record TV TO REDOR for 2027-2032 Search €5b Mark

La Liga has received a new TV package agreement for 2027-2032, extending through Movistar + and Dazn channels. The deal represents an expansion of the previous package, but it also continues to show the opening gap for the Premier League in terms of TV rights.
The current agreement is worth € 4.95B run until 2027, and is worth around € 990m per season, which is divided between the teams. The upcoming deal will see Movistar and Dazn continue to split the magic of the league between them, with five games appearing on each channel. This is likely to keep the cost of watching all the matches, which is already the highest in any of the other five regions, higher in Spain.

The new €5.25B deal represents a 6% increase
The new deal is confirmed to be worth €5.25B for five seasons, which comes out as €1.05b per season, an increase of €60m. The agreement, like Marca, was approved by the Committee of Rights Control of La Liga, with Feal Madrid the only vote against the case voted by another club in the top two places, with Atletico Madrid praising it.
The total package received is €6B including extras
Including an additional € 650m for service providers, € 60m for free Air games and premium packages, and € 175m for Segunda, the Total Package comes to € 6.135B. This represents a 9% increase on the previous agreement, which was recommended by La Liga President Javier Tebas.
“According to the general situation nationally and internationally, to obtain a total growth of 9%, which represents more than € 500m more than the intensity of the economic ball, which will receive money from student rights not exceeding € 6.135B,” explained Tebas in a press release.
“At a time when many clubs are losing value, the continued growth of Laliga, this result is very visible.

Compare with other major frameworks
Constant comparisons with the financial power of the Premier League leaves La Liga a long way behind. Their TV package, running from 2025-2028, is worth €1.6b per season, a gap of €550m, or 35%. Tebas often gravitate to the Bundesliga as a point of realistic comparison, but per bark, their current deal would report an annual revenue of €1.346B, or 22%.
Serie a is currently in a €4.5B deal (Ensider Sport) that runs until 2028, worth €900m per season; La Liga’s new deal will offset that by €150m, or 14%. Ligue 1, after the collapse of its broadcasting rights, is working on its own broadcasting service and L’Equipe reports that the sides of the French Top Division are set to share just €80.5m between them this season.
