Canadian PM calls Trump ‘Afraid’ to bet on Dodger-Blue Jays World Series

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has accused President Donald Trump of being ‘fearful’ about making sports bets on the upcoming World Series between the Toronto Blue Days and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“I think he’s afraid to make a bet,” Carney deferred to the media on Thursday. “He doesn’t like to lose. He didn’t call. He didn’t return my call yet in looking, so I’m ready to make a bet about the US”
Carney predicted the blue Jays to win in six games.

“The world is very crowded. I think the world is crowded with this series,” said Carney. “It’s going to be deep. It’s going to be a big series. But we’ve got depth, we’ve got fire. You see the performance.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavett was asked if there was any sports betting during a press conference on Thursday during a question about the FBI’s arrest of three illegal NBA figures.
“You know. I’m not sure. I don’t think he does. I’ve been with him for a while and I’ve never seen him gamble before,” Beavett said. “I don’t think you’re a big gambler.”

The Blue Jays are looking to win their first World Series since 1993, and the Dodgers are looking for their second straight championship after winning it in 2024.
The Dodgers are 220 to win the World Series entering Friday’s Game 1, giving them a 68.75% chance of victory.
