Las Vegas strip resort files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
Bankruptcy filings are not a common situation among Las Vegas strip casinos and businesses.
The last major bankruptcy in the line was more than 10 years ago in January 2015 when APOLa Entertainment.
Some of the smaller casinos that come out of line or outside of Vegas, however, have filed for bankruptcy protection in the past 10 years.
The Chinese-themed Lucky Dragon Casino, which opened in Las Vegas in 2016, filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2018.
Privately held LAS Vegas maverick operator LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 14, 2025, a month after S&P Global Ratings withdrew all of its ratings from the company.
