First on fox: The new GOP GOP bill prevents the United Nations (UN) from forcing the US to enforce any new tax that cannot be paid without being blocked by your government on American taxpayers.

It is expected to be launched this week, as the world awaits a vote on a global tax on carbon emissions created by International Maritime Shipping.

Member States of the UN’s Edicial Body, the International Maritime Organization, voted late last week to postpone the review of the global tariff after a year after President Donald Trump’s withdrawal.

The Pfuger Bill would ensure that the US would not be subject to such tariffs or other financial sanctions ordered by the international community, unless approved by the Senate.

It would also prevent the US government from funding any global carbon tax, as well as the UN’s voluntary US ban on the tax when the tax is deducted.

This proposal is a global marine shipping tax on carbon emissions.

Its main opponents were the US and Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil producers, respectively.

Republican State Committee (RSC) Chair August August Pfluger, R-Texas, is leading the legislation, along with RSC Energy Task Force Chair Troy Balderson, R-Ohio, and Task Force Forge Housit Randy Weber, R-Texas.

Fuger told FOX News Digital, “This war is not over,” despite the UN sanctioning vote.

“This legislation would kill their carbon tax plan forever by cutting off all US funding from any UN funding that tries to impose taxes on Americans, money and fines on American citizens or corporations,” he said.

Balderson said that “thanks to President Trump and Secretary Rubio, they are conflicted and disappointed in standing up to the United Nations and forcing the international community back down.”

“Global protection unknown to the UN is trying to build another slush fund, and they expect the Americans to pay for it,” Weber said. “A global carbon tax was not on the ballot in November 2024, and the American people sure couldn’t vote for a 10% hike in spending.”
