Transgender members of the Transgender family have been issued under the Trump Administration The Transgender Ban which included the Federal Government to withdraw their pensions and benefits after their early retirement.
Transgender members, who served between 15 and 18 years in the air force, are requesting the retirement benefits that were provided to them.
The lawsuit, filed Monday, comes after the Air Force said in August that transgender service members between the ages of 15 and 18 would not be given the option of earning retirement before applying for benefits, reversing a previous decision.
Service members affected by the new policy now face a loss of $2 million owed to their service over their lifetime, according to the loss of health benefits, one of the eligible groups helped bring the lawsuit.

A lawyer for the workers and the group, Michael Haley, said the withdrawal of early retirement benefits was part of the ‘general brutality in attacking transger.
“These are people who will go on with their lives, find the right thing to do, and then there will be another,” Haley said.
The sergeant major in the air force with 15 years of service, including a deployment to Afghanistan, joined the case after early retirement was rejected, saying “the masters taught me to lead and fight, not to go back.”

“Removing my retirement sends a message that those values only apply on the battlefield, not when a service member needs them the most,” Logan Ireland told Associated Press.
This is the latest legal challenge against administration policies that seek to force transgender troops out of the military. In May, the US Supreme Court allowed the ban on transgender troops to go forward pending legal challenges.

In addition to restoring retirement benefits, the Air Force moved in August to deny transgender members the opportunity to argue before a board of their peers in order to remain on the job.
The Pentagon has also recently expressed the same kind of policy throughout the war.
